Made in Uk

You all know that I have this big love for bazaars, street markets and thrift stores. I can live in Divisoria and in all the malls there forever with all the great finds it has to offer, that is like a Disneyland for me. And if you take me abroad, believe me I would choose being at the street night markets in HongKong  and Bugis in Singapore than to be at Rodeo Drive in California or at high end fashion kingdoms in Paris.
My standards in dressing up is really not all about brands and price tags but I choose quality and comfort over it. And to tell you honestly if I get to wear something branded its because its my mom who’s paying for it but if I use my money to be spent on clothes, Id go all the way to the nearest thrift store and shop there like a boss.
Nahh, enough of all the talking. I gave you that introduction because this look here brought out the different side of me. For the first time, I gave in to wearing something made in UK! Ukay Ukay! =))) Before my mother left for France, we do Ukay Ukay together back when I was still a kid since I have been this miss sama sama kind of girl, but I am not really fond of it because i thought that shopping in those kind of store would bring out the boredom that sucks. But as years passed by, as I have been an avid blog reader i came to appreciate the ukay ukay finds and i came up to the conclusion that fashion really depends on the person who keeps calm and carry on.

Thank God, Maligaya 168 gave me a chance to do my not so first time UK experience. I went all out with the basics. At first I had difficulty in choosing because the clothes there weren’t really for my body type, ukay ukay thing really needs a lot of effort so you’d come to be at your best. And after long minutes of doing the ukay, tadaaaahhhh this is what I turn in to.
I bet you’d never really know that I wore something from the ukay ukay if I didn’t tell you so. How do you like my look and the styling I did so as to keep it look basically fashionable?

Keep in mind that you should wear your clothes, and don’t let your clothes and its brand wear you!

Stay Classy, Not Trashy

I know Ive been such an irresponsible little one for quite a while now and as usual ive been bombarded with too much school business, i cant even go out of my dorm and chill out at the nearest beauty bar or go shopping at the most accessible mall but i guess this is how my life should be like in the second roll of my journey on my major year in college, FOCUS and DRIVEN!

But since its a holiday, I atleast i target to finish blogs about the fashion show me and my fellow PFB bloggers did last October in collaboration with Maligaya 168. That was Halloweens and ages ago and i hope its never too late to talk a lot about it.

So as to continue the dress up game, this is what I wore for the second appearance on the runway. This is really something id wear for high class events especially in formal occasions. I really don’t get overdress in those kinds events, as much as possible I try to divert my style into something more matured, classy and not trashy. I don’t do vibrant color splurging but if i do i see to it that every piece matches and not too much of rainbows.
Red, Gold and Black has always been so divine since time in memorial, it is really something that releases a dark shadow with a twist that it doesn’t end in darkness all the time but there’s just something in it that would make you wait for something more, like an essence of surprise. Black has always been so versatile in all aspects of the fashion world, but for me the role of BLACK is really CLASS! And I know I pulled of that classy look pretty well, don’t you think?

Haute Orange Leopardess

This is my first outfit for the PFB X Maligaya168 collaboration project. The staff of Maligaya 168 already prepared the clothes that we are going to wear and what we have to do is to style it and wear it in a way that would be presentable to the people watching and to the camera's flash which is of course something that every blogger should have, the talent for great styling and fashion statement.  The first walk down the runway gave me mini heart attacks but then I did not let fear ruin my first ever fashion show participation that's why I just enjoyed every step I made and savored the moment to take away all the nervousness and stress then I found myself having fun as I was modelling.

I want my entrance to give an "ooomppphhh" feeling to the crowd so I decided to cheat my height by wearing a palazzo pants that made me look four to five inches taller plus of course the magic of the heels. I turned the dress into a fashionable top so as to achieve the look I want to have and so as not to expose my big tummy because the dress is hugging my body so tight.
This outfit is also a combination of class and colors, the animal prints on the sleeves of the dress gives a taste of sophistication even if animal prints are so mainstream nowadays, I believe that I brought it up with elegance and it did not even look as overrated as it is and I good thing the bronze metallic bangles matched it. As for the colors, the bright orange palazzo did not overpower the simplicity and elegance of the top and did not gave conflict to the combination instead it was the ensemble that would catch the eyes of the viewers because of the height it added to me and the color itself is very striking to everyone, and since I am known to be an expert of color coding, the necklace that I got from The Hook showed my talent on how good I am in matching up a burst of crayolas that necklace supposed to be part of my giveaway but I just fell deeply in love with it just because its orange and very catchy!

Here's the collection of Sam-Au modeled by yours truly and my co bloggers and the mastermind of all of these.

I published this post today because the colors are incorporated for the season, I just want to great you all a Happy Halloween! Boo yah! take care everyone and enjoy!

Stay tuned for several outfit posts worn for the event!

Xoxo :*

Now I am all set and ready to go for the fashion event! I chose to have this contour makeup peg so that it would be perfect for the night, dark, lights and also flashes. Then my lips were colored dark pink so it could catch the attention of everyone. Good thing this kind of makeup matched every outfit I had for the show and it did not made conflict to the whole setting and every situation where I am in. My hair was just the typical curl at that time because I can't think of any other hairstyle except for the traditional curls which is fitted for all kinds of occasions.

The moment I arrived at the venue everything was all set and to my surprise the dressing room was so organized. All the clothes to be worn for that night were already labeled and hung up and all we have to do is add on the accessories that we are going to use and arrange the shoes we brought in order. I can say that with this kind of setup the crew really took a lot of effort to make the show run smoothly. There was already a manila paper posted on the wall in the back stage so as to guide us in our lineup of appearance and the organizers never got tired of reminding us, orienting us every now and then and guiding us on every move we make just to make the event successful.

Because this is a haute halloween, treats were present! I did not expect that there's this kind of table but good thing they had this so as not to make the audience hungry and they can munch at these treats while sitting back and watching us walk down the runway and model the items. Too bad I wasn't able to taste these treats but I hope the viewers enjoyed the halloween treats.

Here are my fellow bloggers practicing their walk and poses and here's Ms. Des who was patient enough to instruct us and Ms. Dalsa who was also kind and patient to orient us in the line ups, very supportive and very appreciative in our all out participation.

The faces to be launched
Spot me!

The show is about to start, fashionistas!

Work in a "Maligaya" way

Leggings: Zara
Shoes: Topshop
Necklace: Quiapo Thrifts
Spike Bracelet: Quiapo Thrifts
Bag: Longchamp

Whenever I run errands I make sure that I am in my most comfortable look and dressing up simple yet colorful has always been my forte especially when it has touches of pink.
Today I went to Maligaya 168 to have a meeting with the management and the PFB gang regarding our haute project this season.
I am happy to announce that I together with the Pampanga based bloggers are going to tie knots in doing collaboration and advertising work with Maligaya 168 which is a shopping center close to the hearts of every Kapampangan. We aim to hit two birds in one stone by promoting business and fashion at the very same time. I am so happy with this project because Maligaya 168 is really a part of me since I was in high school.

Since I know that I will be running from one stall to another to pull out clothes for the big night I decided to wear a something that can make me walk fast, move in high speed or even run so I just wore my favorite style... the basics.

There were 3 basic tops right in front of me as I was preparing and I really had a hard time to choose on what color and style would make up my look but I ended up wearing this Petit Bateau ombre sleeveless. Just so you know Petit Bateau is a French brand which sells items intended for babies but then time passed by and advancements were made that it is now a benchmark for multi-generational style for all members of the family. Items are made from pure cotton and I tell you that it is perfect for the weather here in the Philippines because it would make every Filipino feel cool despite the scorching hot weather.

The color code for the day was all the combination of pink and grey, a mixture of exciting and boring at the very same time. I know they are somewhat contradicting but I bet its good to experiment on fashion sometimes. Then just add a bunch of multi colored accessories then Voila I'm off to work!

Now back to the project:
Maligaya 168 organized a HAUTE HALLOWEEN peg FASHION SHOW for the Pampanga Fashion Bloggers to be held on OCTOBER 27, 2012 SATURDAY at Maligaya 168 lot at 6:00 PM!
This project would be the grand launch of our team and is also a great kind of advertisement for Maligaya 168 since they are the major sponsor for this event and when I say sponsor I have this giggling feeling knowing that they will sponsor the clothes we are going to wear for the night.

I was so happy in choosing the garments I will be going to use because a lot of items are really so fashionable and trendy that every fashionista would be a victim.

I am so happy that the good Lord has given me so much blessings! I know this is not a project like that of a world class fashion week like the our very own or the ones like in New York and Paris but this is a stepping stone to a journey about making that dream come true and without you my readers, this would not be possible. Thanks for supporting MDC and for taking time to read it even if all I have here is merely showcasing how vain I am. I love you guys!
